It seems like crazy sounding, extraordinary flavors are the thing these days when it comes to ice cream parlors. But Salty Maca Caramel? We’re listening…
One of the new plantbased hotspots of the German capital offers superfood-charged nice cream, located in one of the most picturesque hoods of Berlin. How about a trip to Prenzlauer Berg for a scoop or three?
Words_ Eric Mirbach
The thoroughly overhauled streets and facades and the spacious apartments make Prenzlauer Berg one of the prettiest, most family-friendly neighborhoods of the German capital and – that comes with the territory – a very vegan-friendly one, as well.

Not too surprising that one of the new plantbased hotspots, Tribeca Ice Cream, is located right here in the heart of the Berg (see what I did there, calling it a hotspot when it’s selling ice cream? Yeah, I know). So before that crazy summer comes to an end, we wanted to urge you to visit Tribeca and try their frozen goods. You know you want to.
This is superfood-charged
nice cream all the way
Pistacio Lucuma. Salty Maca Caramel. Coconut Ash. Hazelnut Baobab. It’s not hard to tell that this is not your go-to joint when you’re in the market for a plain sugar overdose. This is not your regular junkfood ice cream. But come on, how exciting can ice cream flavors sound?!

And then what they’re made of! Using various plantbased “milk” variations as a base, every flavor of Tribeca Ice Cream is made by adding filtered water, coconut oil, cocoa butter and then either coconut sugar, rice syrup, raw cane sugar or maple syrup. No industrial processed sugar ever. So this is superfood-charged nice cream all the way. Total dream come true!
